Innovation and transformation: the future of Europe’s healthcare

Healthcare Week Luxembourg (HWL) has established itself as an emerging European platform for discussions around healthcare transformation, innovation, research and policy. Since 2024, waveL has been supporting the event with strategic communication, storytelling and international public relations, helping position HWL within the broader European healthcare and life sciences landscape.

Organised by the Fédération des hôpitaux luxembourgeois (FHL) and the Paris-based event agency Quinze Mai, Healthcare Week Luxembourg brings together healthcare professionals, researchers, institutional stakeholders, innovators and policymakers from across Europe. Building on the momentum of previous editions, the platform has grown in 2025 to more than 3,600 participants, over 120 exhibitors and more than 120 invited speakers from across the healthcare, research and innovation ecosystem.

The third edition of HWL in 2025 focused on the impact of artificial intelligence on healthcare professionals and healthcare systems. The upcoming 2026 edition, taking place from 30 September to 1 October at Luxexpo The Box, expands this discussion under the overarching theme “From Resilience to Antifragility”. Topics such as AI governance, interoperability, data-driven healthcare, prevention, workforce transformation and European healthcare sovereignty are brought together within one interconnected narrative.

As part of this evolution, Healthcare Week Luxembourg is also expanding its ecosystem through partnerships and associated conference formats such as the Clinical Research Conference Luxembourg 2026 and the Vision Zero initiative. These collaborations contribute perspectives on clinical research, precision medicine, prevention, oncology and patient-centred healthcare. waveL supports the strategic alignment and communication of these partnerships, helping connect the different initiatives to create a broader European healthcare narrative.

waveL also supports HWL through strategic positioning, editorial development, stakeholder communication and international media relations. The agency develops multilingual storybooks and communication frameworks that help define conference narratives, structure thematic priorities and align institutional, scientific and media messaging across stakeholders.

Beyond editorial production and press relations, waveL acts as a communication interface between organisers, scientific stakeholders, institutional partners, media outlets and associated conference initiatives. Members of waveL also participate in the Healthcare Week Luxembourg Scientific Committee, contributing to ongoing discussions surrounding thematic positioning, communication narratives and the broader strategic development of the platform.

waveL furthermore supports the international visibility of HWL through media outreach, interview coordination and strategic media partnerships across Luxembourg and neighbouring European markets. Over recent editions, the conference and its initiatives have been featured in media outlets such as German news agency DPA, BILD tabloid and Focus Gesundheit magazine, Luxembourgish RTL, Delano/ Paperjam, Luxembourg Times, Wort, Revue, Silicon, Chronicle and MedinLux as well as French, Belgian and international publications like Medtech France, Journal du Médecin and Digital Health News. The outreach contributed to HWL’s growing visibility within the healthcare ecosystem.

As Healthcare Week Luxembourg continues to evolve, the platform increasingly positions itself as more than a yearly conference: it is becoming a broader European platform for healthcare innovation, strategic dialogue and cross-sector collaboration. waveL remains closely involved in shaping and amplifying these narratives through strategic communication, stakeholder alignment and international outreach.
