From e-invoicing to AI- accounting: positioning fin-tech innovation in a changing landscape
Digitalisation, artificial intelligence (AI) and new regulatory requirements are transforming accounting and finance across Europe. The introduction of electronic invoicing, the expansion of the Peppol tool and the growing use of automation are reshaping workflows and redefining the role of accountants, fiduciaries and finance professionals. Companies are increasingly expected to process information faster, more accurately and in a way that generates more synergies and strategic value.
Horus Software is among the companies driving this transformation. Founded in Belgium in 2016, the company develops accounting solutions designed to automate routine tasks and allow accounting professionals to focus on higher-value activities. Today, more than 8,000 users across Belgium and Luxembourg rely on Horus Software to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
For Horus, who has established a strong position in its home market, Luxembourg represents a strategic growth opportunity. The country combines a highly international business environment with an evolving regulatory framework and increasing demand for digital finance solutions. Topics such as e-invoicing, Peppol, AI adoption and the digitalisation of fiduciaries are becoming increasingly important for businesses and financial professionals alike.
To support its expansion and positioning in Luxembourg, Horus mandated waveL to develop and implement a strategic communications roadmap. Based on waveL’s proven methodology, the objective was not simply to increase visibility, but to position Horus as a credible voice in discussions surrounding the future of accounting, digital transformation and financial innovation.
The first phase focused on analysing the Luxembourg ecosystem and identifying relevant stakeholders, media channels and discussion topics. Based on these insights, waveL developed a multilingual storybook and strategic messaging framework designed to translate complex technological and regulatory developments into accessible narratives for Luxembourg’s business and finance community. waveL works on the project in close cooperation with Horus Software’s PR support in Belgium.
A particular emphasis was placed on thought leadership. Together with Horus, waveL identifies key themes where the company’s expertise can contribute to broader market discussions, including e-invoicing, Peppol, AI in accounting, the evolution of fiduciaries and the future of finance professions. This approach enabled Horus to participate in conversations that extend beyond software and address wider business and regulatory challenges.
In parallel, waveL supports the implementation of a structured communications roadmap that combines media relations, stakeholder engagement, strategic partnerships and ecosystem building. As part of this effort, Horus joined the Paperjam Club, one of Luxembourg’s leading business communities, providing access to a broad network of decision-makers, entrepreneurs and industry experts while strengthening the company’s visibility within the local business ecosystem.
The collaboration has already contributed to growing visibility through media coverage and expert contributions. At the same time, waveL supports the development of relationships with key stakeholders across Luxembourg’s business, technology and innovation landscape.
